Riverbend Farm has a variety of hay and nice consignment tack for sale at very reasonable prices. Their farm is easily accessable off the highway at Vowels Rd, next left after the Timberlands turnoff. Yvonne is very accomodating, especially since my hay has to be completely covered to make the boat trip over to Gabriola Island, she provided me not only with good quality hay but a great big sack to wrap it in, thanks so much Yvonne! The ferry people were very pleased to see that I am not covering my hay with two ginormous Christmas presents for my girls..the tarp blew off enroute and thats all I had..they still laugh about that!!

Anyways I was able to pick up a pair of designer rubber riding boots for my daughter for ten bucks, what a deal! Can't wait to get back there again and see what goodies I can find. Here is a link to their website
