I thought I had posted this but apparantly not...lol

Had a new girl come in the night of Feb 1. When the boss delivered her, it was late at night so I first saw her the next morning. I was kinda full warned that she was on the biggish side but didn't quite exactly expect a moose in my paddock...lol

Feb 2, 2010

Feb 11, 2010

Feb 28, 2010 in her new halter bought at a tack sale.

March 2, 2010 Had one of the boarders take pics of us so you can see how big she is and I'm 5"10".

This was taken at eye level by someone 5'4".

This will give you an idea on how wide she is in the chest. The edge of her is actually half way up my arm!!!

Her story is:

The owner had broken his ankle and needed to downsize. She is one of his top broodmares and didn't want her falling in the wrong hands and end up in Ft McLeod.

She is, at the least, overweight not underweight which is quite different for me. She weighted 1379lbs on arrrival and she is now 1324. She has no signs of founder, her feet are excellent, just s couple of flares that will take a couple of trims to fix. She is extremely quiet.

She needs to loose more weight and she won't be available for adoption till she has some solid training under her. I'm going to take her to some schooling shows for halter, showmanship and breed classes.

I'm going to put her under saddle this summer to see how she does.
