I was just about to cross post this:

PLEASE READ!!!!!!! There are approx 50 beautiful young thoroughbreds 2-5 yr olds + brood mares in Chase BC heading for meat market on Monday !The owner is in financial difficulty and has no other option. Well bred and unraced. Call Lee Oakford by Monday at T-Bar Ranches 250-679-5404 and match the meat price ($500-)- each. If you know anyone that can help.....

I read on Facebook that New Stride has gotten involved and there should be no more issues??  They will be handling the adoptions out?

they all found homes over the weekend. Someone named Christine Adderson led the effort on this one...I know New Stride was involved too.
